Good I am glad the GOVT is finally taking a step forward.

@ewelmcc-The other funding for this will be up to 4Billion in addition to the 1.6 billion key is going to put forward-this will be recieved from existing telecomunications providers (such as telecom etc). And key just said himself that the crown will put any profits that they make back into funding the network.

saying billion really emphatically doesnt make it any more money. yeah, wow at the 30 years. New Zealands internet is a freaking joke on world standards. Im paying for max speed download/upload and during peak times (5pm-11.30pm)its pathetic, ive been as slow as dial up at some times.

I guess at least he has realised there is a problem, thats a start. But its still going to take forever. When was the driving/drinking age going up again? lol.

sometimes laissez faire just doesnt work, he makes many fair points, its not an issue whether the free market will work, its an issue of infastructure and we need faster broadband to reamin competitive internationally

Please don't go down the global warming road it is such a total waste .. a country of 4 million could stop all use of motor vehicles and use only hydro power and it would still have no notable effect of global warming .SO don't tax us even more to fund things that will change nothing. increase wages?? greed greed greed ..lower the cost of living instead ..less petrol cost, less power cost, less food cost. We dont need more pay thats just greed.We need lower costs

if you do read our comments on here john i would like to ask you what would you do about golbal warming if you were elected, you always criticise labour at thir faults which there are many. but wat would you do, would you have better plans or would you have more plans?
