At 5:25 it really happens, such a wonderful composer, and such an epic movie.
This is beyond beautiful...there is no name for it, sò wonderful.

just watching the movie on tv. What a beautiful soundtrack!!!

I have been listening to this peice of music for 44 years. It still comes across just as fresh and amazing as when I heard it first in 1968. The majesty of it's romance, the sweetness of the tune proves that we will still be enjoying it for a long time. Paul in Dublin Ireland

The best film ever made, Direction, storyline, screenplay, acting but best of all is Jill's theme. How perfectly did Claudia act the dance! Flippin masteroiece
-
Leone did not shoot one frame, before Morricone's music was done - He then let the music set the pace of the film, not vice versa

Whoever disliked this clearly has no eyes or ears.

i cried 2 times for this song in one movie session. after 1 hour i took a brake because this song was totaly destroying my feelings
-
this scene always gives me a euphoric high, and when the singing starts... a chill straight down my spine.

A reminder of just how powerful and truly amazing this movie is...Leone's masterpiece.

CC and Sergio Leone used to visit Ennio each day to help out refining the music...of course, a women's touch to the theme complemented by Edda who sings it beautifully.
Morricone is an excellent composer. He can "offer" the strange feelings that Jill has when she arrives to the listener of the theme. And have a look at the scene when she is fetched in the desert. What a soundtrack that plays along to the magnificant country! Only a few composer are able to create such an amazing effect. Wonderful theme. One of the best. And wonderful movie.

The perfect match between picture and sound. Just watch hapens at 3:48 ! Before the music was kind of small: A cembalo, a female voice and some strings in the background. So was the frame. The camera is always close to Jill. But than a crescendo introduces the rest of the orchestra. At the same time the camera pulls up and shows now the whole little town. The same at 5.49 .
