My best friend's family hosts a Labor Day Weekend family gathering every year. This year marks my 23rd year as an attendee, not counting a few years in the middle when I missed out on the fun.

This video encompasses much of what goes on and hopefully captures the essence of what it means to me to get to be a part of it.

She is, it's her second year in high school though, her school started at 9th grade. Good luck tomorrow, you'll do great! And the teachers are VERY helpful, don't worry.

this is kind of what i envision my partner's family reunions to look like. i've never been able to actually go yet because for the past few summers we've both been working but next summer i've been made to sware that i will definetly attend. and on to new hampshire... :)

fantastic video, m!!! really reminded me of LDWs at smith pond when i was a little girl -- and now the kids' kids are running and swimming. gorgeous. the goodmans will be there next year!
