  • i always wondered if the baby ever came

  • i think this is the band i saw play at the Hot Klub in Dallas like 1980 or 81 and the cops raided it and i got busted...anyone remember that night and fill in the details?

  • This video was made in 1981 at Studio Instrument Rentals in San Francisco a year before Kim Morris joined the Contractions for a short period. Kim was a keyboardist and singer/ songwriter from LA via Phoenix. A single was produced at Different Fur Records by John Coon and Karl Derfler with a song by Kim " Black Dress" and the other side a song by Mary Kelley'" Don't Blame it on ME". There may be a video of the 4 Contractions made at Herb Alperts and Jerry Moss's A & M Studio- LA 1982 .

  • Wasn't there 4th Contraction? Why is she never mentioned or shown??? Seems odd. I thought the 4th addition made the band! What's the big secret, huh?

  • ahhh, I fucking love my aunt (Debbie). I had no idea that she was in a band until last year! harhar. @r3zdent: ahhh no way! (: cool beans, cool beans..

  • I still love The Contractions, their live shows knocked me out!!!

  • I was at this show. Debbie is the best fucking drummer ever! We grew up in the same redneck town... Kathy also has done alot of great work for deaf rockers....Mary is still a big goof....

  • kathy, youre the best!

  • Mary Kelley has a new video up of her recent performance at An Undisclosed Location in San Francisco July 21, 2007. A vocal student of the late Judy Davis, Mary Kelley's vocals are mesmirizing, with a range that both comforts and teases. On her new release CD, she does a version of "Bali Hi" that takes you there. Come check it out. Her bank rests on the wisdom of ages propelled by the insight of the muses. Rock on Ms. Kelley!

  • sorry, Kathy. Kathy Peck pumping the bass here. The drummer was great
