It was not the NVIDIA graphics update that caused my issue, but rather the 10.5.6 update. Reverting to 10.5.5 or upgrading to 10.5.7 is the solution. The problem was that 10.5.7 didn't come out until May meaning that I could not use Safari 4 until then. There are no settings that can fix this dumb ass.

No this is the Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter that is not dual-link.

I was able to fix my problem by reinstalling the 10.5.5 from the install disc and restoring from Time Machine with Migration Assistant. It was apparently not the graphics update that caused my issue, but rather the 10.5.6 update. Performing the procedure that Jouner linked to did not fix the problem. After I installed 10.5.5 I did the update to 10.5.6 and then the problem resurfaced. Apple needs to get an uninstall update feature built.
