Out of this World for the Panasonic 3DO. In this video you can see the introduction, complete levels one and two. I am posting a series of Out of this World videos from different versions so that you can compare and see the differences between versions.
The 3DO version has completely redrawn backgrounds, but has not updated any of the foreground objects. The total effect is actually quite jarring. The background graphics are too bright so it ruins some of the atmosphere. Also, because of the updated backgrounds, the classic foreground objects look terrible by comparison.
This video was not emulated, it was recorded from a genuine Panasonic 3DO FZ-1 using S-Video.
looks very cool but it really doesnt capture the feeling of the amiga version.

The guard at the end of the level stands there and then disappears simply because you are not supposed to stay there and see it. You were supposed just to proceed to the next level and wonder what happened to Buddy :)

This is certainly more colorful and detailed then almost every other one I have seen-loads fast too. the 3DO was technically good, but didn't have a prayer because of the price point and there was also no copy protection

It's weird that I noticed this, but the keypad to the door of Lester's lab is different in this version. The 123 row and 789 row switched places. His hand motion is the same though.

I watched through the longplay of this version and I've to say I agree with some other comments I've seen. You can read on anotherworld.fr that Chahi wasn't really involved in this port and the sequel promoted after the 3DO ending. In the original version the fine details that push the game to that artistic memorable status have been lost here. The background music doesn't give you much break and the impactful ending lost the impact - it's like "did it end?" audio cues wise.
