Tonight: There are a few things labor leaders won't tell you about their history. Unions have a long history with deep communist and racist roots. You only hear about how unions heroically stopped greedy employers from sending 10-year-old kids to work in the coal mines for a dollar a day. But you haven't heard stories like these about unions- until tonight.

Unions are destroying countries and states with their out-of-control pensions. The real ticking time bomb in this country is not the national debt, it's the debt to unions and union workers: pensions.

  • 666. what a dumb ass. when will religion die?

  • There is a HUGE difference when talking about 'Unions'. The problem is the clumping together of the two very different types of Unions. Private and Public.

Private Unions negotiate with Private Companies. They have a stake in the companies success, and MUST generate PROFIT or die.

Public Unions do NOT create wealth. They CONSUME WEALTH. The public's WEALTH. They hire their own bosses, by supporting the politicians. Then are rewarded for doing so through public debt. The bill is now due.

  • Beck may be a "piece of shit" but from what I know he doesn't demand other peoples money. I do however see Union leaders/thugs continuously demanding money like it's crack and peoples property don't mean anything. (if you don't think your money is personal property you just might be a commie). I will defend myself from anyone who thinks taking money from me for their "cause" including the parasitic unions. And any other form of communism. Talk about those who need to get a clue.

  • @Laughingblades Kind've like communism? Plu that money gets distributed and your still going to get people who feel their job is more important and that they deserve more and are better. Absolute power corrupts absolutly. Though I do like the idea. I just can't see people agreeing with each other enough to pull something like that off. Look at our political system.

  • @CJbass420 Then let the owners starve. The workers can create their own companies, they don't need employers. Look at the Mondragon Corporation in spain, over 10,000 employees, grossing over $24 billion a year and doing cutting edge research, and it's entirely worker owned and worker managed. This top down rent a slave system is left over baggage from the feudal era, the only reason people aren't moving past it is because they don't know any alternative.

  • @Laughingblades These owners can't do all the work unless they're company is small. Bigger companies need labor workers.

  • @CJbass420 Of course corporations do, corporatism is as bad as capitalism. Cooperatives on the other hand more evenly distribute wealth, unlike a corporation the share holders all work for the company and all take home an income representative of company earnings. See Mondragon for an example of how it could be done, if we wanted an alternative to the way we're doing it now.

Unions should stop asking for better treatment from companies that see them as a disposable resource

  • @Laughingblades Thats what unions originally were. However now it has turned into groups like seisu or whatever they're called, who only do what's best for themselves. BTW I hope you know many corporations siphon money to an upper class too. They also own slaves; in China.

  • @CJbass420 If you want to protect workers rights organize them to go to work together for themselves in their own worker owned cooperative companies instead of expecting this employer employee master slave relationship intentionally designed to maintain a wealthy ruling class and siphon money to the top to suddenly turn fair and equitable for the workers.

  • @Laughingblades Because the idea of unions is a group of people who protect worker's rights. I'm sure many are corrupt just like many coprarate owners and government officials are corrupt. However the idea of someone protect worker's is simply a logical idea because of the corrupt business men and government officials. And no I don't. Also my point stands not everyone can own a business and there'll always be a need for a working class.
