  • by far the best version out there... this should have been released officially years ago!!

SO LOVE Jim on piano... sigh...

  • Once again, I truly feel that Rory Dodd is one of music's most unsung heroes. He could be singing the telephone directory, and he'd make you believe every word of it. Simply astonishing.

  • im fan the air supply for many years a go ....and i can say this version is better jim steiman is a genius

  • @Steinfan1978

It should have been released back then in 1983. I first heard Bonnie Tylers version around 2000 - and it has been among my favourites ever since, right along with Bruce Springsteen's "Thunder Road".

Springsteen and Steinman ... two very different personalities, but to me they define the finest songs ever written in great numbers by single persons.

  • I just love the extra verse in this version :-D

"I can make your money double or I can make you lose your shirt

I can make the old wounds start to heal or I can make the new ones hurt

I can make the music louder or I can make the songs all fade

I can make every girl just wanna get up and dance and make the boys in the band start to play

I can make the runner stumble, I can make the final block

I can make the tackle at the sound of the whistle, I can make all the stadiums rock"

    He's rigth, too!

  • Jim is one heck of songwriter. His catalog is so epic and powerful.

  • is this guy actually writes his own song or just sing covers

  • @ianlacey11 Yea. That's him. Mr. Turn around. hehe. Tender, soft, huggable voice.

  • @SimplyRavishing24 I'd put this equal with Bonnie Tyler's version, forget the Air Supply version.Rory Dodd deserves more credit than he gets,re the pre Meatloaf version of Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through and his vocals on Total Eclipse Of the Heart, isnt he Mr "Turn around" ?

  • Pity Jim had to give this to Air Supply....Rory's version is a million times better,

  • What a performance, spine chilling!!
