While most people use Facebook as a way to socialize, did you know that it's also a great learning tool? Amy James from CBS News 9 shares her top learning apps and talks about how Facebook can be used in education.
This obsession with Facebook is laughable. I'm pretty sure mathematical forumlae are readily available online, not to mention in a mathematics textbook, if you could be bothered to look. Social networking and education should be kept separate. Facebook encourages a very shallow, superficial form of interaction, insularises people into their comfort zones, inhibits the development of personal bands and empathy and discourages face-to-face interaction. Not something that should be promoted.
