Air Hogs Wind Flyers conversion to 3-ch

Air Hogs Wind Flyers originally came with a brush motor and nimh. You would charge up and toss it and it would fly till the charge was out.

I wanted to see if it was possible to convert it to 3-ch using Hobbyking micro gear and wanted to do it for under $50

3gram brushless motor $10.57
rx $9.99
2x 1.7gram servos $3.57 each
0.7gram 1S ESC $8
1x 100mah zippy $1.75

with shipping, this came to a bit over $40. Airhogs plane was $12.99
Total is about $55

Wow! That looks like fun! My old Wind Flyers broke, so I might just look into doing this! It's fun to just throw around as a glider (without the propeller). I think you should try the Air Hogs Hawk Eye Blue Sky. Look it up on Youtube, and there are some videos for it, and it is within a reasonable price range (45- 60 dollars)!
