I have to love his panache and romanticism. He has loads of technique but he doesn't let it dominate his musical sensiblilities. I think he's just tremendous. He also seems to be a really warm and pleasant individual in the interviews I've seen. I understand he was a huge Django Reinhardt fan in his youth and it shows big time.

I am not qualified to say who is the greatest guitarist, but I can say that no one sounds as good to my ears as Julian Bream

He is so right about the guitar. Truly a well rounded musician and brilliant guitarist to be admired.

@christianos666 Who done more tfor the guitar doesn't necessarily mean the person is better. I think it's safe to say nobody done more for the guitar than Segovia, so for that he has my respect. Musically though, I don't like him that much, whereas I much prefer Julian Bream.
