suggest you go to the U. of Illinois Cryosphere today page.

    check global sea ice.

the global trend is unmistakably down. Antarctic ice in no way makes up for arctic losses, the changes in Antarctica are all but insignificant, and well explained by the science.

I am relatively new to the subject of climate change, especially dealing with deniers and skeptics. I'm glad this video clip included that statement by Joe Bastardi claiming that an increase in sea ice extent would begin after 2010...just before the 7 min mark: "we'll see if I'm right." And that's what burns me! The so called skeptics are never held to account for their failed predictions. Another one is Lindzen's CO2 low temp. sensitivity...the opposite appears to be happening.

Sea level rise: Less than 2 mm annually since last ICE-age, no significant change last century, or present. When you observe total melting (melt in the North, new ice in Antarctica), there is virtually no change. Therefore no significant sea level rise. Just check the observations.

So real world data is now a lie. I guess this paper that was just published is full of real world data lies then. thegwpf.org/paper-arctic-temperatures-unusual-unnatural-unprecedented/

You use scientific sources, carefully cherry picked, to lie. To others, but mostly to yourself. I suggest therapy.

So you are naming yourself to the sole authority on what the scientific data is and who is allowed to speak it. I did provide a link to the data. It is a pdf file on the NOAA website. Here it is again docs.lib.noaa.gov/rescue/mwr/0Â50/mwr-050-11-0589a.pdf Go ahead and tell me that NOAA is a non scientific site. I dare you.

I'm telling you what the scientific data, and backing it up with links to leading scientists who are describing it. You respond by doubling down on repeating your myth, with no citation. who is confused?

It is not a myth. You cannot discount scientific data that doesn't agree with your preconcived conception. You clearly did not bother to read the monthly weather report from 1922. It is common for alarmists to not bother to look at the other side of the issue since that might confuse them.

there is no evidence to back up the 1922 claim. We have good evidence now, even from before satellites, of what ice extent was. There are maps from observations by fishing, whaling, and military ships, and there are maps made by analyzing silt cores from the arctic sea bottom - certain types of organisms dominate in ice free vs ice covered water. So the 1922 myth is nonsense.

greenman tends to only show the alarmist side of the issue. His claim was that the current melting of the arctic is unusual. How can it be unusual if the same thing was happening in 1922 when man made CO2 could not be the cause? It is common for alarmists to ignore the older records when it was actually hotter. This is different from saying that it is not hot today. Skeptics do know that it is hot today, they just also know that it was as hot in the past as well.
