I think it would make more sense if they paired up chuks with a bo then alternated between equal rounds. It would give chance to use more interesting techniques.

@VikingNightmare I agree real nunchaku would have easily broken a few bones during the fight, mabye the were using training pairs which are made if a softer, rubber polymer mixture. But one of the competitors had to have his pair relaced a few times, and it was said that it had 'broken', which makes me think of wooden nunchaku.
