Next month, world leaders will gather in Copenhagen at the United Nations Climate Change Conference to negotiate a new global climate treaty. In anticipation of this event, NASA has compiled a multimedia resource collection for editors and producers developing climate-related stories. Taking Earths Temperature, a short film explaining how researchers use computer models to study climate change, is one of the many resources included in the gallery.

Organized by topic, the videos, data visualizations, conceptual animations, and print-resolution images illustrate key concepts and discoveries in climate science. The compilation also features ten of NASAs most popular climate visualizations.

The gallery can be found at NASA's Scientific Visualization Studio (http://svs.gsfc.nasa.gov/ClimateEssentials) and NASA's Global Climate Change site (http://climate.nasa.gov/ClimateReel). Images and videos can be downloaded directly from those pages and may also be available by request.

hmmmm, let's see: 1) NASA - Intelligent, well educated, sober-minded Scientsts 2) A nobody youtuber spewing hyperbolic, meaningless talking points and insults.

Hmmmmm. Which to believe? Which to believe? I'm just so confused! I just don't know which one to believe! hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...............lol

  • totally agree. i got ahold of all the files from the hack of the CRU, thousands of files and thousands of emails. it's an overwhelming about of evidence that results have been fixed and it's causing a stir. im not the type to support conspiracy theories because frankly i could care less and it takes up way too much time. however, this story really caught my attention and it's pretty scary.

this video es 480p, not h.264 and this video is very slow download, the image quality is not a h.264, its xvid, and due to the image size, this video is old, new videos can be seen widescreen

  • not only are mosst of those images in vidoe of all fake, lik i mean the earth i seen before and its not looking like that ok....... obvius specialfx generated by compters

    FAAAAAAAAKKKKKKEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....!!1!

  • @4brotherskids

Ah, ok. Well, I'd have to do some research on that. I'm not sure that has that big an effect due to atmospheric mixing whereas the albedo effect is sort of well, stuck in one place.

  • @Skydancer365 yeahh i know that but what i mean is the north will give off more carbon dioxide causing the north to be hotter

  • @Syn427

Last night I was in a REALLY bad mood but I'm feeling much better today. I'm just HIGHLY amused at how deluded people like to call others what THEY are.

Let's see, "With the release of the revised statement by the American Association of Petroleum Geologists in 2007, no remaining scientific body of national or international standing is known to reject the basic findings of human influence on recent climate change."

    WHO's the conspiracy theorist??

    hahahahahahaha!

    tinyurl com/y67qrl

  • @Skydancer365 I'm sure that it does, run off an play now with the other conspiracy theorist. I'm sure you have all sorts of sandbox time scheduled.

  • @Syn427

And btw: YOU are the one that's the LIAR! My research proved to my satisfaction that virtually ALL of the climatologists and scientific organizations "believe" in global warming. That's what I was researching! Not some tiny scientific aspect of it! I was researching what the scientists believe and you're a LIAR!!

  • @Syn427

I told you, I only started compiling it after I was 3/4 of the way through! I only wanted to send it to you to prove that I'm telling you the truth about doing research. You called me a liar and I wanted to prove I'm not lying. But you're obviously too much of an arrogant prick to listen and just want to bully people into believing your Glenn Beck inspired crap by insulting them! So go ahead and stick your head in the sand and continue believing your fantasies!

  • @Skydancer365 wait so your not willing to send me all of the research that you did for 4 months, (which is nothing compared to the ACTUAL climatologists who have been studding this for YEARS and yet still seam to say that man made climate change is bunk) but only a 1/4 of it? which I'm sure will line up fairly well with some study already produced trying to justify Al Gores Climate Taxes and Carbon Credits. No I think I'll pass.

  • @4brotherskids

You're probably thinking of the "Urban Heat Island Effect". It's been well accounted for.

The north pole is getting hotter faster primarily because there's more meltable ice which is dramatically decreasing the northern hemisphere's albedo compared to the southern hemisphere
