Patti Labelle sings "What I Could've Been" in the Browdway play Working along with Barry Bostwick, Stephen Schwarts and Eileen Brennan; just to name a few. Patti starts singing at 2:03.
Man, I remember this from American Playhouse (heard song originally on Sylvia Fine Kaye:Broadway does Washington by Lynn Thigpen, the operator, here and it was her song). Here, very poignant as I am sure we have all thought it, felt that sentiment. Rita Moreno, Charles Durning, Pati Labelle, studs, Scatman Cruthers (sic), etc. A song that is sad yet also celebratory as we never know exactly what we will be or what could have changed had just 1 moment in time had been different. Just 1!Bravo!

Oh, I would be like, why are they even singing in a play with Patti's vocals, she's amazazing, and they're barely average. OMG.
