that's crazy...it's just a show...everyone has their own negative traits...you wouldn't be too pleased if people just focused and magnified your faults and shortcomings.
@leverage1976 Ah but it's just for show and he's a nice guy; you hit it dead on with a lot of people though. I hope this isn't from personal experience, if it is I'll root for you :)
No one should fall victim to the leech you described.
@marks661man I agree 100%. Nick isnt right for Mallory. Today, he would be the epitiome of the slacker, tattooed, no-income artist, that would never do anything more than leech off a girl like Mallory and her family. He 'likes himself'? Good for him. That's just another vain trait when youre young, that turns malignant and leads to a fat, jobless, beer-guzzling guy sitting on the couch, while his wife busts her ass to put food on the table. A real man is humble, self-starting and self-effacing.
I know its just a show. But I really grew up with Mallory and of course, had the biggest crush on her. I know her character is supposed to be airheadded and sweet. But her choice in Nick always baffled me, even at a prepubescent age. I never understood how someone as cosmopolitian and aesthetics-oriented, could fall for Nick. Yes hes a handsome, artistic guy with dopey charm. But I can totally see now(being older, lol), how Mallory's dad would be freaking out. She really did deserve better, IMO.

@marks661man I think this really is an elitist opinion. I always found Nick and Mallory were perfect for each other.
