O Captain, My Captain! [[Abraham Lincoln; Old & Wise]]

We had an assignment last year in English to pick a song and write a two-page story incorporating the lyrics. This was the song I chose, and President Lincoln was the subject...and I thought I should make a tribute for him for my hundredth video. (My hundredth!!!)

He's my hero, plain and simple. I have two other heroes, but none so much as him. I didn't cry making this video, and that's an accomplishment for me. Please be respectful in your comments. The boys and young man in the pictures are President Lincoln's sons -- Robert, Tad, and Willie, only two of whom outlived their father, and Tad not by long.

One night when a dinner was being held at the White House, Douglass was invited by Lincoln, but the guards refused him entry for being black. Lincoln saw this, and from across the room shouted, "There's my friend, Douglass. Let him in." with an emphasis on the 'friend'?
