In June of 1961, the Bell Aerosystems Public Relations Department produced a video of the 'Phase 1' of their contract with the Army. They were looking to obtain a Phase 2 contract of some $175,000 to carry on their development work with the Army's Transportation Research Command [TRECOM] of Fort Eustice, VA. Part 1 covers the progress from the beginning of unpiloted flights until the belt and pilot were ready for free flight. Part 2 covers the first free flight, pre-public free flight practice, and concludes with the first public demos at Ft. Eustice June 7th to June 10th, 1961.
