  • Let me make this clear: I want it to be MY CHOICE who I go to for a doctor and what insurance provider I get, not a bureaucracy in Washington DC.

  • What are we talking about here? Eueui, are you saying that he should have kept silent and not spoken up for what he felt and what he believes? Isn't he an American? Aren't the people in that supportive crowd Americans? Aren't they just voicing what they want and need? Why does their voice not count? Why should we discount this man? Are there some Americans that are more important than others?

  • Props to Brian Baird for trying to fight bribery and corruption while in Congress. Google "Brian Baird, 60 Minutes" for more.

  • @Aegius that was from Donna Wilson, RN, PhD

    Associate Professor, Faculty of Nursing,

    University of Alberta, Edmonton

  • @Aegius oh yeah, canada NO WHERE NEAR privatizing it's public health.

"One of the last truly "public" health systems in the world can be found in Canada. Canada has not followed a recent trend by other countries to either adopt health care privatization or reprivatization (Weller & Mango, 1983). Over the past five to ten years, however, a number of individuals and groups have tried to privatize Canadian health care. They have not succeeded. "

  • @Aegius c'mon. is he unemployed? if so, how do you know? and employers weren't hiring in the 8 years bush was president. that's why a public option is important. what he's saying is he'll take advantage of public health, a socialist program that is indoctrinating his kids (LOL) but he doesn't want OTHERS doing similar?

    i call bullshit.

how do you know he's unemployed?

i call 'another bullshit joe da not quite a plumber' on this one.

  • @Aegius sorry, the money's not running out. from the economist this year:

"By 2030, Europe may find a way to redesign its healthcare systems so they fit the purpose for

which they were created. In particular, that would mean the systems are re-set on a firm financial

foundation, so that they can pay for the increased healthcare burdens created by ageing populations."

they are BARELY covering costs due to aging population and the diseases that go along. but they are NOT privatizing.

  • @neoconsnightmare3 "there's no reason he cant have a job with benefits." Answer: Employers aren't hiring, b/c there is fear over what may occur in DC. That's why he and millions of others can't find jobs right now.

  • @Aegius wait, why isn't he being allowed an 'alternative'. get an education (from the socialist 'Veteran's Administration' program, like my dad did after WW2...got a masters, in fact), and get a job that pays great benefits. that's what i did.

unless he's a dumbass, or an unskilled laborer (because his ass was able to walk up to the podium, speak clearly his lies, talk to the congressman, and walk back to his seat while fist pumping) there's no reason he cant have a job with benefits.

  • @JoshuaSkye Wrong. The Nazis had an economic system whereby the gov dictated everything to businesses and allowed for private property IN NAME ONLY. That is Fascism and in turn Leftism. Some ideas were Left-wing & others were Right-wing for the Nazis.

  • @neoconsnightmare3 He's taking gov-health care w/o being allowed an alternative, so his complaint is justified.
