EJ&E 660 East on the CN Freeport sub

An EMD SD38-2 leading the M338 train by Genoa, Illinois on 12-29-2010. The trailing units were CN (IC) 2462 and CN 2132.

Late in the day with clouds so the light was failing. Mark Llanuza who had given me the "heads up" on this train would unfortunately miss it when it stopped for a crew change at Burlington. Thanks to Mark and Lance Wales for the info relay.

A great last catch for the 2010 year.

I got a tip that the M338 train was leaving Freeport at about 0830 this morning (Wednesday). Not sure when that would pass through Burlington. Maybe by 10 am. Some interesting engines supposedly.

@basicbill1 well sometimes i wait 4 hours and nothing comes and other days they do, i dont have a scanner and its hard to catch, ive actually seen one at a bridge when i was taking pictures but thats it.
