  • *is crying right now* I have been looking for this song. I'm so glad someone had posted it now. My father, use to sing this song, almost every single chance he got. He just died June 30th, and just hearing it really helps. We have it on quadraphonic, but we don't know where the player is, and if it even works anymore. So, thanks for posting Jefferson Airplane songs. I really appreciate it.

  • I first heard this album sometime around 1978 or 9...and ever since then, every once in awhile....I find my self singing this silly song over and over.........la la la la lalalala..

  • This song was one of the low-points of Bark. Couldn't even enjoy it high. Who the hell picked Joey Covington for their new drummer?

  • a punk song yea

  • Great Group - Thanks!

  • @Smittee Awwww! you got me with this, how sweet! I love that you shared this, a very unusual song and not just anybody sings it to their babies... I did so I really get it :D *sniff*

  • Why does this exist?

  • To me, the influence on this classic airplane piece is Lambert, Hendricks and Ross who used to do bebop jazz vocalese. I've actualy done this as a jazz tune, nearly a capella with just an upright bass. (No recording unfortunately, but there's still hope). Great song, great memories thanks for posting.

  • Sitting in Stu Eldridge's bedroom with Bill Young and Bill Shontell, recording our own version of this song. ("thinkin' of chu every day')

  • This song has been in the back of my brain since I was a young kid. I'd love to hear someone try it as a jazz piece or like Odetta style

  • I see all these great songs from Bark and no Rock N Roll Island ? What's up with that ?
