  • For anybody that is interested there is a new book out based on the Farah PRT. "Words in the Dust" is a novel by former soldier Trent Reedy who helped to establish the Farah PRT and was with the first group of 19 soldiers into Farah in 2004. You can find the book in book stores or on amazon, the audio book will be released in Jan/Feb 2012.

  • Check out the book "Words in the Dust" by Trent Reedy. Trent was with the first group of soldiers into Farah and his book is based on events that took place there! Always good to see Farah vets out there!

  • @pimip67 This unit is out of Kingston, PA. (right next to Wilkes-Barre PA) They are 1st Batallion, 109th Field Artillery from the 28th Infantry Division (the Bloody-Bucket!) Not sure what the "new" breakdown is.... I proudly served with this unit near the beginning of the Iraq-War. Our Area of operation was Sadr-City Baghdad. We were there for "Black Sunday", a large battle that had roughly 4000 enemy fighters of the Mahdi Army. We later moved North of Baghdad, and build a small FOB.

  • are you guys out of new milford?

  • how much of the 55hbct/28id whent A-stan?

  • 1st Battalion, 109th Infantry Regiment, 55th Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 28th Infantry Division? or 1st Battalion, 109th Field Artillery Regiment.

    just wondering
