The best part about the breed is that they aren't well know. Over breeding has almost destroyed labs. 99% of Chessie are still true to the breed.

to funny mine is 8 and he has attitude this dog seems abit more playful his tail is waggin but the teeth are goin with mine same thing but less tail

I have a mutt that is part Chessie and part chow chow. Believe me, she guards our house well.

Chessies are the best and toughest retrievers. Golden Retrivers are so sappy and they prctically invite in the robbers because "they just love everybody". Chessies are more protective than Goldens, Labs, anything. It's a shame they are not as famous. I have one. He is only 12 weeks old.
