Having hung around for a few photos after the Severn Valley Railway's Diesel Gala on 9th October 2009, I found myself alone on Bridgnorth station. The place was completely silent. Even these cooling steam locos on the depot, with smoke still billowing out of there chimneys, that had been fired during the day for maintenance reasons, made no sound. The only sound is the whirring from my camera! It was also a lot darker that it looks in the vid.

  • I have heard stories about that old house at Alton Towers being haunted - lots of strange goings on when they have their Haloween and Nov 5th late night openings - I wouldnt go round there at night thats for sure. Not after what I heard

  • Hi Stanwax, I've just googled it and there's a story on there about a man who stayed there and was woken up by his wife sitting up in a trance and she kept chanting 'ga gar in, ga gar in, shoets upinski, shoets upinski' before she woke up! Out of this world!!!

  • Scary as fuck...Reminds me of one time at alton towers.

  • What is alton towers? Is that that old inn off junction 11 of the A12?

  • You're right! I remember staying there myself, the bed shook all night and we kept hearing chickens clucking in the walls!!! I thought it was pulled down in the late 1980's?

  • No, I passed it about six months ago and it was still there. It looked derelict, but for had a candle burning in one of the upstairs rooms.

  • interesting as the person I heard the stories off talked abut a nun but she was dragging a cart along with some chains. She stopped when he saw her and the chains fell slack to the ground making no sound. He heard a noise in the nearby bushes and turned to look. He saw nothing so looked back at the nun but she was gone along with the cart. Like I said I wouldnt hang round there after dark for no ammount of money

  • Funny, I was just speaking to a colleague who said his girlfriend's mother's, sister's friend's dad stayed there on one of those bonfire weekends and saw a nun in the hall who smiled at him. On enquiring he was told that no nuns were staying at the place and nobody else saw her!!! Scary or what!

  • Hi, When did you stay there? I was convinced it was demolished in the 1980's? What happend to you? We didn't get any sleep whatsoever because of the noises and things.
