@FernandoPS i suggest you go listen to the first fast playing electric guitar music. It was called surf music and came in the later 50s. Dick dale, ventures, etc.

Lots of crazy soloing was created then too. Metal came LATE to the game. Sorry metal hippies, you lose.

I know for a fact that A.O and a ton of socal punk bands like the Adolescents were into surf music and 60s bubblegum music.

right, like using only downstrokes? there were plenty of punk bands from that era that were doing that without watching led zeppelin. the whole movement wouldve still happened the way it did even if zep didnt exist because their antagonistic focus wouldve merely shifted to other mainstream bands at the time like pink floyd and yes.
