Singapore is not a country with democracy, it is not even communist. It is more like a company and the citizens are the employees of the company. The management enjoy the riches while the employees slaves away. Temasek holding is just another company owned by the LKY family that generates money for the government. Not the people.

@varlan But at what cost? Once again i stress that other opposition parties such as Worker's Party are able to gain the support of Singaporeans unlike CSJ. I believe what CSJ is doing has value in it. Democracy is what humans yearn for, yet it is the way in which he tries to achieve democracy that is truly disturbing. Is he truly bringing good to Singapore by fighting like that? Or are we progressing further with somewhat more reasonable opposition like WP?

Another Singaporean judge violated international law again today by not only court ordering a man to prison but to be Tortured by Flogging (because of gender) This man will be stripped naked, tied up, and brutalized by paid prison homosexual perverts or sadistic guards and beaten over and over and over again 24 times until his flesh is mutilated and they have satisfied their fetish. It is exactly people such as yourself that help to keep things the way they are for those who wish to keep you under thumb. Some of the people detained in the 60s and 70s only were released recently. That is a serious problem in a truly Democratic nation. In addition, maybe if you actually visiting other political party sites you would see that they have a lot of alternative suggestions For Economy and Society as a whole.

Let us not confuse "standard of living" with convenience of living. A dollar in america will buy you far more that what a dollar in singapore will buy you.

Empty vessels make the most noise. Don't get me wrong, I was overjoyed when the WP took over the Aljunied GRC. But Chee Soon Juan is a dud; only capable of criticizing, never capable of executing. He constantly talks about how our government detained opposition leaders... in the 60s and 70s. Wake up and smell the air Dr. Chee. Us modern Singaporeans don't want to hear you whine and bitch about a broken system. We'd rather hear your ideas on fixing it.
