It's a pity, that I don't know exactly, what is song about, 'cause I don't understand German. But! The melody is absolutely impressive! And melancholy, I think. It's just like me. I feel like the end for some weeks or months.

Wie viele Leute, meiner "Generation" halten Tocotronic für einen Teil ihrer Jugend? Normalerweise bin ich kein Freund von Pathos, aber Tocotronic drücken einfach aus, was in meiner wirren pubertären Birne abging und noch immer abgeht. Damals Hamburger Schule, heute Hamburger. Damals L'age d'or und Siffkiez, heute Audiolith und Neonclub.
