A wireless signal from a transmitter will act to ignite a nichrome wire at the receiving end. This is a fun little circuit.

You must be an engineer with a million dollars. You must have already been on the cover of Macleans!

This was a project I did for fun the afternoon of my graduation. Don't be so inconsiderate when writing on other people's walls.

  • Just saw this, pretty sweet man!

  • Where did you buy all of the parts

  • Dude, you're awesome! I did this exact same thing, but I'm only in high school, so I didn't build the ENTIRE circuit from scratch.I used a very small r/c car as the transmitter and receiver. A comment from dylaninLG said it would be nice if it was protected, just put the receiver in a plastic box, and run 3-5ft alligator clips out of the box to connect the wire! The one I built worked amazingly well during fourth of July. It's rather crude, but I made it myself. Would you like to see it?

  • wow... i never thought of using nichrme wire! good idea.

  • nice work man.

  • does anyone know what this circuit called or where i can find the schematics etc

  • schematics pls

  • cool stuff

  • Great use of the degree! What's the range on it?

  • very cool man. bun not exactly very effective for say, igniting fire works? it would be cool if you could figure out how to protect the circutry and still maintain fuction. but still very cool.
