After the red car met an untimely end over New Year's, I was able to find a new Miata. This time in BRG form complete with tan interior and hard top. Here she is with a fresh ITB install with the kit from the old red car. Needless to say, it fires on the first try ;)

  • where can i fint that ecu or is there any in particular that i can use?

  • We sell the one i'm using at our shop. Search for megasquirt on our site: rspeed[dot]net

You can use pretty much any other standallone ecu like the AEM EMS or FM Link/Hydra, but the megasquirt is a LOT cheaper and does all the same stuff.

  • hey just wanted to see if u guys can help i have a 95 mazda miata im close to done rebuilding the engine, i have put 10.5:1 weisco forged pistons, mild cams, headers, stage 3 clutch, high volume oil pump and way more stuff, anyways i wanted to ask can i run the itbs with the compression i have or do i need a new ecu and stuff....

  • Yeah you can run ITBs with those parts. You'll need new management regardless since the stock ECU can't handle running the ITBs by itself.

  • In that video I was running a piggyback unit that came with the kit. It's really meant as a stop-gap to get everything running so that you can upgrade later. You will need an aftermarket management solution if you wish to piece together your own kit. The guys at DIYautotune have come up with an awesome megasquirt based plug and play for the miata, you shuold check that out.

  • you can get the kit at fuji-racing . com
