A Charlie Brown Christmas (The Meaning of Christmas)

A Charlie Brown Christmas is the first prime-time animated TV special based upon the comic strip Peanuts, by Charles M. Schulz. It was produced and directed by former Warner Bros. and UPA animator Bill Meléndez, who also supplied the voice for the character of Snoopy.

Initially sponsored by Coca-Cola, the special aired on CBS from its debut in 1965 through 2000, and has aired on ABC since 2001. For many years it aired only annually, but is now telecast at least twice during the Christmas season. The special has been honored with both an Emmy and Peabody award.

A Charlie Brown Christmas is also one of CBS's most successful specials, airing annually more times on that network than even MGM's classic motion picture The Wizard of Oz.

Back in these good old days, children learned about Jesus and Christmas, but cartoons now suck so bad, there is no morals and no lessons to be learned..

I love this cartoon.. Never get tired of it..

I remember watching this every Christmas, when the all the specials would come on and mom would fix fudge and popcorn... and we would all watch these specials... Oh Christmas time back then.. Now it's nothing! I wish we could travel back in time..

@WAIATA4U I think thats soo terrible, for years & years people were just fine with the term Merry Christmas, it's just another way too exclude Christ out of Christmas, if people find that offensive then to bad.What about my thoughts&Feelings, I take it offensive when they remove Christ out of Christmas.

Todays public schools in Norhern California DISCOURAGES kids from using the phrase "Merry Christmas" in favor of "Happy Holidays"...Reason: Public schools don't want to offend other races with different religious beliefs who do not celebrate this Christian holiday.
