I didn't see any significant inaccuracy in the comment by "NesperJ." Vicenza is indeed a small facility, easily traversed with a relatively leisurely walk. I was there for several years, now in Heidelberg (HQ USAREUR), and will likely be returning within a couple of months.

actually vicenza is still pretty tiny, i live in the farthest barracks away from the PX and i walk to that dang store like 10 times a day (overexadurated) but its still really small. its very packed with new buildings but still small

WOW!! I was stationed in Vicenza in the 1970's. It looked NOTHING like it does now. It is 10 times larger now! It looks like it is still a great duty station. I Loved being in Italy!!
