Just over two minutes left in the 3rd. John Madden is able to get the puck out of the zone to Grant Marshall at center ice. Marshall carries the puck into the Ottawa zone and Jeff Friesen heads towards the net. Amazingly, both Senators d-men converge on Marshall, and Marshall is able to slip a pass through to the wide open Friesen who is able to bury the puck past Patrick Lalime, to give the Devils the 3-2 lead(despite what Gary Thorne says, lol) late in the 3rd!

When I heard from the PA Announcer that it was 3-2, I knew that this would likely be the last goal. And thankfully after his dramatics, it was announced that the Devils held the 3-2 lead, and I was so glad, happy, excited. I was just hoping he'd mention the end of the game!
