Dylan always seems like he drifts in and out of consciousness when performing live. I saw him play in NJ and it was a total mess, one of the worst concerts I've ever seen. He just stood there for about 50 minutes, band miscues on every song and played everything at 100 mph. I couldn't understand a word.

I love Dylan, and I know the words to this song, and that is the only reason at all I have ANY idea what he is saying.

lyrically of course bob is different in the 60's to now. In the 60's he's a young bloke in his prime. 2003 and today he's getting older so obviously vocally he's different.

I just met him in my hotel a moth ago in Vermont. He had on jeans and a hoodie. He does look younger in that than the western outfits.

No, that's only because you know the words to the song ;)

even songs I don't know the words to I can understand him...

I agree when you know words to a song you can understand a performer better... but understanding people live is much harder. I can't understand performers live who are considered very audible... it's the whole live thing...

Yea that's true. I've never understood Dylan at any concert but Springsteen puts forth reasonable singing effort. I cannot understand any Dylan vocals sang after 1984.

Who's the Boss. Tempo is wacked. Not playing well together or else the recording is warped.
