does this work for any monitor?

well the new 2010 mac mini use displayport not vga or dvi, so if you wanted to connect your monitor you would need to buy a converter, so a vga to minidisplayport connector or a dvi to minidisplayport connector. displayport is the future, dell started to use that connector in 2006. some will say hdmi is better, who knows.

what do you mean ? this is a computer.lol. not a hard-drive, and can connect to any monitor, its common sense, all computers can connect to any monitor. just because its a mac doesnt mean it has its own screens.

Too bad its not compatible with PC monitors.

I think though the Mini can be run threw the PC tower, according to Leo Laporte.

for $712canadian, it should include all the basics that PC gets. KeyBoard and Optical Mouse at the least.

who said its not compatible with pc monitors.lol. i used the mac mini with a dell monitor. and apple made this mac to SPECIFICALLY NOT COME WITH A KEYBOARD, MOUSE AND SCREEN. this mac is for ppl who want to try the mac out, so they already have everything at home with there previous computer, so they just buy the actual computer, thats it, u can connect this mac mini by dvi, the new mac minis offer mini-display port and dvi.BOTH, so i dont know who told u about PC monitors. monitors are monitors

@DRBUK Actually the new 2010 Mac Mini features both HDMI & Mini DVI Display port, so you you can connect it to a monitor with DVI/Mini DVI port (+ VGA with an adapter) or a Flatscreen with HDMI. Personally, I purchased a 21" Samsung HD-Full telly & connect it via HDMI which gives an awesome picture!

I just sold my almost 3 year old 1.83ghz mac mini for $400 on ebay, that's damn good return since I paid $600 for it brand new.

I think it's an incredible accomplishment by apple just to get something that small to work in the first place. Not work well, but just work. They got it to work. Other's have tried Slim models and small models, but let's be honest, they didn't save us any room, because they still needed almost an entire cubby of storage.  This can go right next to your monitor without ruining space, and that cubby can be used for something else.

I need to know if this is quieter than the Macbook Pro 13". I want to quetest one.
