In my opinion mr, Urquidez is a very genious person really. Why I say so?, Because when he faced a thai boxer Narongnoi Kiatbandit in 1977 he fought with the thai by using leg kicks effectively even he had never ever known such a techneque before.
I am thai but I must respect this fact honestly.
Anyway this is only my personal opinion.

Wow, heads up MMA noobs (meaning you guys who think MMA started in 1993 because of The UFC)?
Benny Urquidez (obviously this video is @ least 25 years old minimum), is showing basic clinch work, guilliotine chokes and even showed a stance to avoid the double leg takedown.
Lol.
And most think MMA was invented in 1993 just because the Gracie's said so.
Techinques are as old as time, they just only recently started to get strung together.

Benny the Jet Urquidez are one of the greatest
Kickboxer ever. His Name are Histroy in the World of Kickboxing.His Knowledge in Fighting and teaching are more then Fantastic.Benny also are a No.1 Hero in todays World Champions. i am proud to see him on Ringside and also learn from him in Kickboxing Classes.

Yes Benny teaches his students more than be a fighter. He teaches respect to all and it does not matter what age or belt rank. He teaches watching and listening carefully, because knowledge is power.
