Interview with Robert "Bobby" Martin by Juha Rompannen, recorded 1996-04-17 in Los Angeles.

Robert Martin is a vocalist and multi instrumentalist who sang and played keyboards, saxophone and french horn in Frank Zappa's band during the tours of 1981, 1982, 1984 and 1988.

He talks about his musical development, early music career, his time with Frank and composer jobs.

  • Yes, he did. Can't be easy to talk about somebody who influenced your life so much and then think of the fact that the person is gone. :/

  • Choked me up when he broke down near the end..... the brightest stars burn out the fastest. Thankfully we will always have the brilliant music of Frank Zappa to keep his spirit alive :D
