@BelfastAtheist True. That was the overall message of the show and you saw its reflections in every aspect, from the drug trade, to the police force, to politics, to the schools. Reformation doesn't work in the long run.

Stringer's democratizing the Drug Trade DID have the support of basically the entire Drug Dealer ring in E/W Baltimore, but it's like the creators of the Show say - The Drug Trade would never be able to handle Reform like the sort Stringer was dealing with, the Drug Trade is like every other Trade in the Series, i.e. Reformists get crushed. Whether it's Colvin or Stringer, the Status Quo prevails; always.
