The lovely Norwegian soprano Sissel Kyrkjebø sings the aria "O Mio Babbino Caro" from the Giacomo Puccini opera "Gianni Schicchi" in her DVD concert "All Good Things."

Having gone back and listened to those others you named, Sissel makes them sound like someone "dragging a dead cat over a violin" by comparison.
You are entitled to your fetishes - where your musical enjoyment is concerned - just try to have the courtesy to keep you own narrow opinions to yourself. To do otherwise is to assume the attributes of the common "troll". To quote your previous statement; ..."but get a clue." The sun does not rise solely for your benefit.

This is the best version of this I have ever heard. Her voice is clear, strong and her enunciation is perfect. She has a very great degree of control on her voice, so uncommon in contemporary opera. A very talented performer with one of my favorite operatic works of all time.
