You'll be amazed at how voracious these red-bellied piranhas become when a mackerel is lowered into their tank. At first they seem timid. But after the first piranha goes in for a bite, the rest of the school attacks in a full force feeding frenzy. Watch as this fish is stripped down to the bare bones in mere seconds. Would you swim with these toothy little fish? You can become surrounded by this school of predators in the NEW piranha pop-up tank. It's located in Ranger Rick's Backyard Safari at the Tennessee Aquarium. http://www.tnaqua.org/RangerRicksBackyardSafari.aspx

  • @okamasphere Evolutionarily speaking, it would not be beneficial for the species if the school was feeding on each other all the time. It is the same for us to. We will kill each other, but we naturally do not desire to. For example, we kill out of protection (war, home invasion, ect.) but unless a human has a mental illness, we never do kill each other purely to kill. We kill when we feel threatened for whatever reason.
