Or no S330, Viking, Viscount 700, Carvair, Bristol Freighter, standard Constellation or Boeing 720.
Aer Lingus often leased out or leased in aircraft so it wasn't unusual to see hybrid colour schemes depending on how long the aitrcarft was leased in or how soon after it had come back from lease.
Still, nice compilation.

Great collage of those wonderful aircraft types of yesteryear. Nice selection of mood music to enhance the nostalgic effect as well. 10/10! Kudos!

The house I grew up in in Glasnevin in Dublin, our back grden was in the flight path of aircraft taking off in a southerly direction when flying over. I used to love the sound of the 747 jumbo and the BAC 111 had a massive thundering sound. Great vid and exellent pics,, thanks for posting. Id give anything to travel on a vickers viscount, I love old aircraft.

@altazboy If im correct they did fly the shorts and one went down in the UK somewhere, Im open to correction on this.

What about the L-1011?
is that Chris Martin's voice? Why use him?

Basically I used this song because the first line is "I used to rule the world" oweing to the fact that these aircraft either no longer fly at all or no longer fly with Aer Lingus.

aer lingus still have the A330s

I know yeah, the reason I added the A330 because it's in a different colour scheme (1994). They have however already retired one of their older A330s after the arrival of a new one in February. They will receive another new A330 in June so another of the older ones will also be retired also.

When did they get rid of the bae-146?? 2000, 2001??

Aer Lingus Commuter Division which operated the BAE aircrafts merged back into the mainline operations in Feb 2001 although I do believe that it was after the September 11th attacks that they withdrew the BAE from service. A precise date i'm not sure. But they were replaced with the A320s on all UK routes then due to restructuring. Sorry for delay in responding.
