it was a medley Santana was doing. it started off as Miles Davis' 'In a Silent Way' and kinda went in a couple directions, then it went into Yaleo. I don't think it even went into "It's About That Time" though.

whathefuck is this talk about phillip sayce, i just checked him out and his just another of those souless machine gun players, you cant practice ''soulful'' licks over and over and then play them together as fast as you can and then come in here comparing it to santana and/or derek, who actually improvise what they play, ...what an insult, ...get over the 80's, losers

i think the tune they're playing is hannibal from the album blues for salvador, just in case anyone was curious. at least thats what it sounds like to me...

@willeng84 no prob man i love all these great guitar players . DT is freraking amazing for sure...just for me i happend to really like Philip Sayce a little more...ive spent years going to his live gigs in LA and listening to him jam out and ive herd some amazing stuff from him. Ive also gotton to know him as a friend to and hes such a great person, his passion for music is off the charts. Anyways take care and peace!

@purplejaybird Ok well your wrong. Joe Bonamassa is better than Sayce and Derek is waaaaaay better than Bonamassa. Seen them all live! Kenny wayne sheapnherd when he was on fire was as good as Phillip Sayce and he couldn't be Derek Trucks guitar tech in my opinion. I promise Derek can play the blues with MORE feeling, then bust a slide out and rip out the craziest slide. He is amazing with or without the slide on. Sayce is a one trick pony where as Derek plays Jazz/Ragga/Indian/everything.

@purplejaybird Phillip sayce is ok but Derek Trucks is a fucking phenom!! Period really if you haven't seen Derek live for yourself you are missing out like crazy!! Phillip is good but by absolutely no means is he even close to Derek.

@electricrevelations yea Santana and Trucks are great..maybe santana a little more, but anyways check out Philip Sayce..this guy will blow your mind! Ive seen him live a grip of times in LA super nice guy and for sure one the best around today and hes just now really getn into the scene and more known. check him out.
