Whole Food's Dirty Little Secret: Most of the So-Called "Natural" Processed Foods and Animal Products They Sell Are Contaminated with GMOs! Approximately 2/3 of the products sold by Whole Foods Market and their main distributor, United Natural Foods (UNFI) are not certified organic, but rather are conventional (chemical-intensive and GMO-tainted) foods and products disguised as "natural."

The term "Calfornia Blend" is misrepresented here. California Blend is a vegetable combination of broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. It does not mean the vegetables are from California. Many brands such as Freshlike, Birdseye, Green Giant, etc. have carried this blend for many years.

The story is focused on whether there is enough evidence to claim the food made in China organic. And WF is not helping in getting such evidence. "California Blend" is a trademark, indeed, and it does not mean the product has to be from California, but at the same time I would find that a misleading advertisement. Because, I guess we all understand why they put "California Blend" on the front. Replace it with "China blend" and you'll see how it's going be sold

I'm not surprised they buy from China.I am surprised there is no regulation for organic, which is generally quite a bit more expensive. This stuff should be cheap at Walmart.
