@mi0kang They did - there's a doco floating around on youtube about "The making of walking with dinosaurs", a precursor to this series "Walking with Monsters". They study living animals as well as bones and computer models to create lifelike movement. They put a great deal of effort into it, and it shows!
This is one of the more interesting entries restoring ancient life: not only are the two main players synapsids - as previous commenters have correctly stated, these little known beasts were among the precursors to modern mammals - but the implementation as regards true life likeness is practically perfect with real rendomness in their movements - or lack of it. One gets an impression the maker has closely observed real animar behavior and has succeeded applying that knowledge. Excellent.
@PedroPtPt10 Actually no. Edaphosaurus was one of the species in a family group called 'Mammal-like Reptiles', which means they are more related to Mammals, not Dinosaurs
the music goes gay with it!

These animals believe it or not belong to the family of reptiles that eventually give rise to mammals. They are older than the dinoaurs.
