I created this using an Intel 8088 Microprocessor and Devantech SRF05 Sonar and Sharp 2D120AX Infrared and it is programmed in Assembly Language.

  • @gustafson111 For the sharp IR sensor, it has a max range of 30cm so I dont think that will suit your needs. But for SRF05, it has a range of up to 4meters(based on spec sheet) but I found it to be very reliable for 3.5meteres or less. It can give you an accuracy of about +-10cm. Hope this helps! Cheers!

    is the sensor accurate on a distance of 2 meters? could you measure the distance of a human that moves from 2 meters to 1 meter in front of the sensor?
