hey, does ubuntu 7.10 already come w/ compiz fusion already included?? i want to add it to my mac pro as a second OS. i want my desktop to have really good eye candy

What are you getting out of this graphical user experience really? Cube rotation, squiggly windows, and bouncy, flaming, liquid, sparkly, flashy icons do what exact? OS X gives you the most beautiful interface, the most elegant and--here is the most important--the most practical. Besides appealing to your inner gamer, what do viscous dialog boxes give you? I mean, besides a headache.

the graphical effects are just for fun/showing off the reason i use it is because its entirely free and open source so i have more control over my computer

I like Mac also, I sue Ubuntu and dont use that effects, you only use what you want, the difference if I want Ubuntu to work like the OS X, I can, but if I want that OSX make the same that ubuntu-compizfusion, It not so easy....

I duel boot Vista and Ubtunu 7.10.... Now I have all the fancy compbiz emerald stuff installed... But I cannot get the background of the title bar to blur. I see in your screencast its not bluring there either, but maybe youre ok with that. btw i wont get a reply unless you click the 'reply' button..and not the comment button. anyway, just my 2cents. im fairly new to linux. awesome screencast!
