@23dojo Dude this is a very tiny feature on a synthesizer , its like saying cars are going to drive themselves because you have automatic windows. Believe me coming from the production side of things it is very challenging and a lot of times overwelming to write electronic music! iv'e been in successful metal and rock bands for years and electronic is by far the hardest to make a good production in ! takes a lot of skill ! this video shows a simple perk on this synth !

@23dojo lol good call

Im not sure if a lot of the people posting understand how modern electronic music works :/ indeed as nutrinoland says, its usability depends on your imagination.
I've seen Mr Devine in action and although I could see the music being a little challenging for your average lister, it's as intellectually complex and musically stimulating as you can ask for.

@shagghie I'd like to respectfully disagree, i think running Bach through the Atomizer-effect could actually yield some very cool results - if you're not purist about it anyways...
Beyond that i really like how they have applied it with the Ti-series, particularly the way it's played with the keys. They've taken it out of its usual element and made it even stronger. You probably wont see it used much in the virus-crowd, but when they do, it's gonna be good...

well actually..its usability depends on your imagination...this demo vid is not the only way to use the atomizer...u could use it for any style of music..for example to play a snare sample through it to record a drum roll...or a vocal sample to create a stutter...or even a common house break down..1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32 etc....or any kind of sample can be chopped up...u could a whole bunch of things with it..not just breakbeat...

HUH "REATARDED MUSIC THAT MAKES NO SENSE!" Dude I have seen Divine several time, nothing interesting.

i can imagine recreating this using a tracker. itd be mind numbingly difficult. technology is taking a piss at anything that used to take effort. eventually in the future record labels are going to be signing farm animals that can make music

Micro Edits my friend!!!

they sould release a plugin with these capabilities, not a dsp, thats a simple sampling process, we can find it at plugins like Image Line Gross, dBlue Glitch, DestroyFX bufferoverride and skidder (last 3 are free) but none of these gives that control, so, simple function, release a plugin :)

The atomizer doesn't really seem all that useful
I mean, it really sounds the same every time
would someone really use this feature in any music other than breakbeat, or dance?
And is it only using the effects instead of the whole synth (filters, envelopes, ect) ???
Doesn't seem practical for anyone who's not dj'ing live
anyone else agree?

that's EXACTLY what the Atomizer is all about. It's ALL about Dance/DJ'ing/breakbeat, etc. Saying that it doesn't seem useful is like complaining about your car stereo in your Ferrari and asking how it helps the car go faster. It's not SUPPOSED to..it's just supposed to be a badass augmentation for a Virus' target market of beat making badass techno warriors.
It's not going to help you compose Bach, that's for certain.
