Yes penn and tell do and all the video is saying is that you can lose all the fat or lift all you want but you wont look like someone else and it's stupid to think that any workout would make you look identical to your favorite model or celeb.

Who is Tamilee besides some former fitness model and what does she know? I bet this show paid her to say all that.
And diet and exercise, gaining muscle or dropping bodyfat to look more tone/cut does work and while those doctors are right, it's commen sense and it's pretty naive for someone to believe that if they followed a work out or eat certain foods then their body parts will look the same as their favorite model or actor/athlete.

Genetics define the range you are capable of. Diet and exercise push you towards what you are capable of. A specific person being lazy and eating like crap will be in much worse shape than that same person exercising and eating well.

I'm skinny and I eat junk food...alot.
I love how some of these comments are from folks who think they know better than scientists.

This video shortchanges diet and exercise. My parents, siblings, and most of my cousins are obese. They don't exercise and they eat the typical American diet of highly processed junk food. I, on the other hand, am trim and athletic. I exercise regularly and am a vegetarian. Much of my food comes from my own organic vegetable garden. If I adopted the habits of my family members, I could easily gain 50 to 100 pounds in the next couple of years.

The video doesn't imply that diet and exercise aren't important for maintaining and improving health. It's simply the opinion of those interviewed (nutritionists, physicians and personal trainers) that neither diet nor exercise will give you the body of fitness model or champion bodybuilder.

@newpowermoves I fully understand the points made by the video, and agree with many of them. The video does, however, focus on the limitations of diet and exercise. I could just as easily make a video, supported by expert testimony, that accurately demonstrates the dramatic transformational impact of diet and exercise, while acknowledging the role of genetics. This hypothetical video would leave one with a very different impression.

A video with an alternative view would not invalidate the points made in these clips because dramatic transformation does not equate to looking like a fitness model.
