Lisbon Treaty Song - Easy Come, So Easy Go

By Liam Tiernan a long-time song writer who has a string of household Irish tunes to his name - the Men Behind the Wire, the Boys of the Old Brigade etc.

He is happy for this song to get around.

Ireland is the only country allowed vote on the Lisbon Treaty aka EU Constitution. Half a billion people in Europe are counting on us to save democracy for them.

BIO:

Liam Tiernan began his career in his native Belfast and formed the legendary group Barleycorn. Their first recording, The Men Behind the Wire, landed in the number one slot on the Irish music charts and remained there for months, staying in the top ten for 18 months and selling in excess of 3,000,000 copies worldwide.

Barleycorn toured Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States, performing in major concert halls, clubs and theaters. In 1981 Liam embarked on a solo career, and the last two decades have found him crisscrossing the United States and Canada playing clubs and festivals.

His two solo albums, One for the Ditch and Liam Tiernan, are both highly acclaimed. When not delighting audiences on the road, Liam is kept busy as proprietor of one of Boston's finest restaurant-pubs, Tiernan's, where he is known to sing from time to time.

@cudhavlied You're so right! I'm Portuguese and have watched the Portuguese economy fall to levels never before seen. The Portuguese people are insensed over the "secrecy" around the Lisbon treaty. They have not been told what is in it, and of course, were not given the right to vote for or against. The EU is a conspiracy to eliminate "nationality". Basically, their plan is to create a European state, which would mean one language, one culture, one economy. They MUST be stopped!

@cudhavlied Yeah I know, and I´m really concerned about Ireland, because now your country will be smashed just like Greece:-( You´re so right about politicians, they are good at one thing: LYING. I now hope the irish people will rise up as they do in Greece and Britain:-) Good luck Irish people:-D

We require a major bail out now because our banks are screwed and everyone is saying it could have been avoided but our government lied to the people about the action being taken.. and lack of action, which was blaitant, we have a phrase : There is no such thing as an honest politition! because if he/she was honest they would never have gotten anywhere in politics... how long til rebellion and civil wars?

@cudhavlied Thanks for your concern:-) It´s really true, they wont give it to us, because they say the changes aint that important, hmm those changes IS important, and there are some people who try to sue our gov for breaking our constitution:-) and for people´s mind: The most people are easy to manipulate:-/

@SuperAcab666... I cant believe you didn't get a Referendum, I cant believe they got a yes out of Ireland, they just kept having Referendums til they got a YES... I dont know how they got people to change their minds... or did they? I don't know how they got a YES result?! The polititions didnt even know what the thing was about! But all our parties encouraged Yes.. except for one...

In Denmark our gov didn´t give us a referrendum, and they still dont give it to us, when it comes to the changes in the Treaty, it freaking sucks:-(
