Yes, this must be a Sunday or a Bank Holiday. I used to take the 33 bus home from work (I worked in Princes Street near the Bridges) and at 6pm the streets are jammed.
I forgot to mention, also look at the "west end" closed for works to do with the trams, and in 18 months it'll be dug up again, i wonder who caused this one cause it isn't anything to do with 'satellite towns'
Edinburgh does have a traffic problem, caused by the council who have reduced roads which originally had 2 lanes into roads that now have one lane...(look at the maybury road,)Also the Calder road at Sighthill, it has a bus lane which is empty at times, thereby reducing the road to one lane for cars causing a bottleneck! Traffic calming measures aimed at causing problems to try to force people to use public transport!
i am a student in edinburgh and i love princess street nad the town but the trafic is awfull from edinburgh waverly to slateford i need 35 min in to rush hour it is a distance of 10 min by car at a normal day
How long you been living in Edinburgh Scottishlowoflow?
Edinburgh Doesnt have a traffic problem! Its only when people go to work from other "satellite" towns. Penicuik, Livingston, and people coming into Edinburgh in one go that causes all the traffic chaos.
This video was probably made during the evening on a Sunday. Note how the sun is setting in the west.
