  • @PaterIvica read my post carefully "genealogy" Polynesians and Micronesians have almost no genetic relation to Melanesia's, Our culture is different even our language is different dialect doesn't even come into it. There may have been some influence over last 3000 year of Austronesian migration but so little and if there was direct influence how do you explain our (Melanesia's) negroid appearance even to this very day. Please don't misinform people and do your research first.

  • beautiful.Great idea too.Keep the culture strong for future generations.

    Peace

  • I love this song, it sounds realy great. can anyone tell me who sang me this song?

Where can I get the whole album

  • @ikegami1jp That's because our history has been written by westerners based on information surrounding the islands of the Solomon s most of this information is old and was based on the colonial rulers perception of migratory Asians. To understand meleanisans you have to understand our cultural and linguistic lineage. Our culture is so important because its a potent reminder to us that its kept us alive in such a harsh environment that's not an abstract perception it's an anecdotal fact .

  • The recent discoveries of the remains of girl in Siberia has proven our suspicions all along, we have relied on stories passed down from our elders and anecdotal information in our linguistics lineage to argue the difference, anthropology linguistics (not anthropology in its broader term) is the best indicator of migration (in our context) including first contact with a new race, culture cannot be compromised since these are survival traits however it can adapt

  • Quite lovely people and very proud, too. Are these people Oceanic negroid stock? An anthropology book seems to tell me otherwise, but my eyes keep telling me different. Many odes of praise to Papuans,Fijians and those from Micronesia!

  • The languages of the Solomon are amazing! 4 tribes can live close together but have different languages... i speak roviana and pidgin... hearing my mother speaking rio from rendova is a language from papua new guinea but then listening to my relatives in roviana lagoon, there language sounds different... there aspects of culture are different in some areas, especially custom! ^^ were very diverse!

  • Dude - si there any chance of reposting this but slowed down - some pictures are not fully formed and yet they're disolving/fading into the next one :(
